1. Definitions
· "Mentorship Program" refers to the program provided by MentryX, which includes mentorship, guidance, and support to develop work-ready skills, as further described herein.
· "Student" refers to any individual who has enrolled in the Mentorship Program.
· "Mentor" refers to the individual assigned by MentryX to provide guidance and support to the Student.
· "Course Materials" refers to all materials provided to the Student as part of the Mentorship Program, including but not limited to handouts, presentations, and online resources.
· "Personal Information" refers to any information relating to an identifiable, living natural person, and where applicable, an identifiable, existing juristic person, as defined under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
2. Program Participation
By enrolling in the Mentorship Program, you agree to actively participate in all scheduled sessions, complete assigned tasks, and engage with your mentor in a professional and respectful manner. This includes, but is not limited to, attending meetings, being punctual, and completing assignments to the best of your ability.
3. Course Fees
- All program fees are non-refundable, except as provided for under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA).
- In the event of cancellation by the student, MentryX's cancellation policy will comply with the CPA. Any applicable refund will be determined in accordance with its provisions, taking into account the reasonable costs incurred by MentryX.
- MentryX reserves the right to withhold any certificate of completion or proof of attendance until all outstanding fees are paid in full.
4. Mentorship, Not Accreditation
- MentryX provides mentorship, guidance, and support to help you develop work-ready skills. We do not provide any form of accreditation or certification.
- Our role is to guide you in your learning journey and offer advice on relevant courses and study topics. We do not guarantee that the guidance provided will lead to any specific academic qualification or certification.
5. Work Readiness Guarantee
- MentryX guarantees work readiness upon successful completion of the program. This means we will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the workforce.
- However, we do not guarantee job placement or employment upon completion of the program. While we may provide career guidance and support, the responsibility for securing employment lies with the Student.
- MentryX will provide its services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the CPA.
6. Intellectual Property
- All materials provided as part of the Mentorship Program, including but not limited to Course Materials, are the intellectual property of MentryX and are for personal use only.
- You may not distribute, reproduce, or modify these materials without prior written consent from MentryX. This includes sharing materials with others, publishing them online, or using them for commercial purposes.
7. Confidentiality
- You agree to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information shared during mentorship sessions. This includes, but is not limited to, personal details, business information, and any other information disclosed in confidence.
- MentryX also agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information shared by the Student, subject to any legal obligations to disclose such information.
8. Program Changes
- MentryX reserves the right to modify the program structure, content, or schedule as necessary to improve the program or accommodate unforeseen circumstances.
- We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any such changes in advance. However, MentryX shall not be liable for any costs incurred by the Student as a result of such changes.
9. Termination
- MentryX reserves the right to terminate your participation in the program if you violate these terms and conditions, or if your conduct is deemed detrimental to the program or other participants.
- Any such termination will be in accordance with the CPA, and any applicable refund will be determined in accordance with its provisions. MentryX will provide written notice of termination, where reasonably possible.
10. Disclaimer
- While MentryX strives to provide valuable and effective mentorship, MentryX makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the program’s outcome or your future career prospects.
- MentryX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the Mentorship Program.
11. Protection of Personal Information
- MentryX will collect, use, store, and process your Personal Information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
- A separate privacy policy, detailing how your Personal Information is handled, will be provided to you, and you agree to the terms of that privacy policy upon enrolment.
12. Electronic Transactions
The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 (ECTA) applies to any transactions conducted electronically through our website or other online platforms. You agree to comply with the provisions of ECTA in relation to all such transactions.
13. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
14. Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions, together with any enrolment form or other document signed by the Student, constitute the entire agreement between MentryX and the Student.
15. Amendments
MentryX reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time. Any amendments will be communicated to Students, and the latest version will be available on our website.
